Yangtze River Cruise, China

River boat with me on the Yangtze River in China, through the Xilan Gorge and then climb up Huangshan Mountain, Yellow Mountain.  The misty clouds and jagged mountains are lined with tall pines native to this area. It is a favorite spot for Chinese landscape painters.

Bridges, Paths, and Possibilities

Bridges, Paths and Possibilities in 2012
Pasadena: "Colorado Street Bridge" and "Eaton Canyon

Here we are, 2012 with new possibilities and paths...bridges to cross...energy of color. Did you know that color is an antidepressant? All the more reason to change paintings on your walls now and then. We become desensitized to the familiar and need new stimulation. The more energy photons have when they collide and explode, the more color they give off..so join me in some new paintings, new shows this year. Or take a class in palette knife painting and explore your own creativity with me. I will lead one at Artists' Enclave Gallery Jan. 21. Call 818 884 4946 to reserve a spot.

You can also join me for my show at The Great Frame Up, 9010 Balboa Blvd, Northridge, Calif., "Nature's Nurting." The reception is from 5 to 8 on Jan. 27.

Join me along with 20 other California artists to celebrate the glory of the winter season...  at the Historic Blinn House Estate, 160 N. Oakland Ave., Pasadena, Calif. The show runs from Nov. 1 to January 31, 2012.  The reception is November 10 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.  Here are three of my oil paitings.  "Castle Craig Skier" is from the cross country ski trails at Mammoth Lakes.  "Icy Blue Danube" is painted from my riverboat cabin window on the Danube in a snow storm, and the sunrise is actually all frosted over.
